Hi all,
I'm actually a freelance photographer and I'm looking to do a series of christmas shoots in the last week of december 06 and the first week of jan 07. I have done studio and fashion photography, however i would like to try my hand at child photography to expand my portfolio.
Now, i'm a mom too (Ines is about 6.5mths now) so that's why i really havent had the time to pursue my photography for the last year or so! I'm sure you moms understand how little time one has for personal projects when one is majorly pregnant and then majorly responsible for your little one. At this point, i would like to embark on a personal project capturing the spirit of young children at christmastime.
As a win-win situation, I am therefore offering my photography services for parents who wish to capture the fleeting moments of their child's youth and innocence this christmas. The child should be aged between 6 mths - 2 years (at least be able to sit up - children who turn 3 next year also welcome). This will be a studio sitting, so if youre interested you only need to only pay the cost price for transport, equipment, studio rental and digital editing, printing of any number of photos at practically cost price.
Here are the details:
Dates: to be confirmed, last week dec and first week jan
Length of shoot: 30 mins (1 child, if you have more children please email me and we can discuss)
Theme: Christmas - 1 outfit (child's own) of either red, green or both
Props: a variety of Christmas ornaments and paraphernalia
Cost: $50 (comes with 1 8R print + CD of 6 digitally edited, high res shots)
Prints: (Per extra copy)
8R- $12
6R- $7
4R- $.50
My aim is not at all to profit from this - i truly would like to embark on this personal project. (Most studios charge about twice the price for a studio sitting.) I also feel this is a great opportunity for you to get a studio portrait of your child at a reasonably low rate.
