Cheaper camera, Gadgets in Singapore ??

I'm from Malaysia, planning a trip to lion city soon... in these coming weeks.

I'm a frequent visitor to singapore, but lately .. the few places I visited for the past few years for gadgets are still the places I go all the time. Would like to explore more this time . not specifically looking this time, would like to find great bargains and some windows shopping.

Interested in stuffs like cameras, Pro-video stuffs, lowepro camera bags, computer stuffs and latest gadgets. ...please contribute if you know in which certain items are cheaper than Malaysia and where to get it in Singapore. or certain places with new high tech gadgets to browse around.

Few places that I normally go previously : Simlim, Peninsula plaza, Funan IT,

please suggest to me if there's any new trends of interesting stuffs in SG. won't be going for tourist spots.. mostly windows shopping and gadgets.

I would avoid Peninsula plaza at all costs except for Cathay Photo. Funan is ok for John 3:16.

But honestly... Us guys in SG try our best to get mass orders from Hong Kong, USA and even Malaysia.

It's absolutely not true that stuff is cheaper here.

Certain items are cheaper than Malaysia i.e. Lowepro bags cost upwards of RM400++ but is only SGD100+ here. Same for Fujitsu laptops which are way overpriced in MY (RM6000 vs SGD2000).
For Lowepro try MS Color or OP, they seem to have the best prices.

If you want to visit electrical store will be new Tampines Courts and Ikea mega store, they are huge. Vivocity is another mega shopping centre.

No new shopping mall on camera and computer area. Maybe by end of this year, the new giant shopping centre will ready opp CentrePoint Orchard.

It's still better to go those reputable cam shops for cam stuff. Harvey norman @ millenia walk is good too, but the pricing wise is not as competitive as other shops...

Yup... only frequented peninsula for Cathay photo .. many things to browse around.. seems like the Peninsula has been swarmed by many Burmese / Myanmar guys... almost becoming a myanmar shopping centre.

Also noted that lowepro stuffs are quite a good bargain. Which MS color has more stuffs to browse ?? or better options . I think there are 3 in ang mo kio area ?

Will try to have a look in Ikea and the Tampines courts.. Will be stopping by in Bedok, think tampines is not far.. Is the Tampines courts and ikea nearby ?

Tampines Courts & Ikea are within walking distance.

MS Color. John 3:16 are good shops to buy.
