Cheap Phones from USA?

hi guys and gals

any ideas if phones bought from the US are cheaper than the ones gotten back at home? if yes, can direct me to the site(s) where i can get them? no preference for brand, but it should be able to work in sin (obviously it would have to be tri-band if it is sold in the domestic martket there).

Nope.

1. Phones in the USA are more expensive.
2. Their plans are also more expensive.
3. New phones appear in HK & SG faster than in US by at least two months. Triband phones like GSM 900/1800/1900 are limited to certain service providers like Sprint, Xingular etc.
