An alternative is to buy a film scanner and do it yourself ..if you have time. Sell the scanner away thereafter. It will definitely be cheaper...if you have the time...
$5 per roll is actually quite affordable. Some places if u dun develop it with them they may even charge a handling charge. there are different resolution scanning but one of the higher resolution on is 16 base scanning.
these consumer scanners are allright, but i personally feel the scanned results are not up to standard of the scanning in labs yet(if not labs would not invest in costly machines)
