Used to do Weddings with films....but now I want to try shooting weddings (or other assignment) with Digital. Anyone willing to share on how to charge if using Digital? Thank you.

For info, when shooting film, I dun charge by the roll...but by service...for example for a whole day service up to 8 hours, i charge $400. The customer will then pay me based on the service charge and the developing cost of the photos...dun make much profit...but just enough to get by.

you can charge the same ..

i tot of that but afraid might be too ex for the customer...you know wats like to be shooting digital with no worries of running out of film....

My friend manages a group of photographers doing such PR shoots and yes, its the same charge.

Should charge the same. If the customer find you too expensive, either you can sweet talk them or explain to them why this is so, or forget them.

With film, you "outsource" processing to the lab. With digital, you have to go through pics and do touchup, etc. This is time taken, and time is money.

So, if you shoot digital, charge the same, or higher.

CK

Thanx guys for the inputs. Really appreciate it.
