Canon XA10 VS Sony HXR-NX70P

which one is the best? :)

I think it depends on what you intend to use it for. XA10 has 64gb internal memory plus 2 sd card slots which makes it safer cause your data is stored in 3 places which "hot-switches" between each so that you dont miss an important part in the event. It also has a LANC input which is valuable. Based on this oversimplification, I'll say, this is for events like weddings. NX70 on the other hand is 94GB internal memory plus 1 sd card slot. Rain and dust proof(except for it's xlr handle). It also can store straight to an external HDD instead of through a computer which saves alot of time. Not forgetting that it can shoot in complete darkness with it's "nightshot" infrared. I think this is more for documentary filmmakers.

I haven read substantially enough. but will let you know more in my next comprehensive reply to this post;D

thx for the inputs, i also would like to know it's video quality between them and when compare to slightly higher end model like the Canon XF100

am owner of canon xf100...mamamia great cam..strongly recommended for video why suffer on dslr video.......u can zoom in and out....

Lanc, infra-red mode, and safety recording are available on both the XA10 and NX70. The one up the XA10 has is the second SD slot and of course the
price.

So how? you buying which? ahaha. curious to know;P

The salesman selling me the Canon XA10 showed me how a wide angle lens can be fixed to the Canon XA10 for wider view & also a telephoto lens (2x) to make the zoom 2x10=20x on the Canon XA10. (But he said need to get 3rd party lens as Canon doesn't bring in these lens for XA10)

Can we attach the same lens on the Sony NX70p ?

Thanks
