A Canon EOS R3 camera body is centered against a background of abstract black geometric shapes on a red backdrop. The camera has a compact, rugged design with intricate details around the lens mount and various buttons and dials visible.

During the R1 launch event in Arizona, Canon representatives told PetaPixel that the R3 line isn't going anywhere. But side-by-side with the new R1, there doesn't seem to be any reason for it anymore.
