canon s95 or nikon p300?

hi all,

which compact camera would your recommend canon s95 or nikon p300? which one is better, the price range for both is about the same.

macro and low light shooting seem to be impt when one look out for camera?

btw im going to dive long term? ( crossing my fingers) but would not go for dslr cos they are too costly, esp for a poor student like me

I will suggest the s95. Read the p300 review, apparently p300 is comparable only to ixus series in terms of iq

I believe the xz-1 casing is rated for 40m.

Yes... this IS, the Underwater(Scuba) section...

And the Olympus IS rated to 40m... btw... the casing will make it beyond 40m but are you suppose to go deeper that that ?? And for ypur info, I find the f1.8 useful.

opss my mistake, i came to realise its 40m as well. so which camera zx-1 or canon g12? still at a lost of which one to choose.
