canon flash warranty

canon flash is stated as an accessory item on canon website. so does it still comes with a standard 1 year warranty? i got my flash from alan photo sls. my flash came with no warranty card and the salesman specifically mentioned that canon flashes come with NO warranty. upon asking my friend, his 430EX came with a warranty card.

am i being cheated by this reputable shop?

Yes Canon flash come with warranty card and have the shop stamp chop on it. I just bought 430 from Cathay today.

If nothing happens to your Canon flash within 1 year, then no problems.

Alan Photo may have given you a price for the flash that is lower than usual as it comes with no warranty.
