Canon EOS600D and Nikon D5100 Compatability With iMovie'11

Hi, I am considering getting either the Canon EOS 600D or Nikon D5100.. not sure if anyone have tried these cameras to import Video into iMovie '11. Any compatabilty issue? Both cameras are not listed in the compatbility list, I think might be too new.. Thanks for your comments.

Camera will not be recognised by imovie but you can use a card reader to transfer your clips.

Apple recommends shooting in iFrame mode for instant editing on imovie. No transcoding is needed. Panasonic TM/SD90, SD80, SD900, SDX1 are all iFrame enabled. I have the SDX1, looking to buy the SD90 soon. For DSLR, Panasonic GH2, GF2 is supported.

Use MPEG streamclip to transcode to Apple Intermediate Codec, which is the codec iMovie uses in it's workflow.
