Oops cannot edit... Ok. Why I say the D90 is better is because of its more advanced features, better performances especially in low light which the D90's performance is considered by many to be better than the D300. And furthermore, I can see you have done quite a reasonable bit of research on the D90 as well as its price so I say just get the D90 (the much better camera) and start snapping away!!!

Really... wow, i didn't know... i only find that they deliberately slow the fps a bit so it won't eat into the market of the other Nikons.
No, what I am saying is only about the ISO performances. Yea, other features such as the fps, build, modes, etc... Is better than the D90's but you pay more

Not really trying to start a Canon - Nikon War, why not you compare the Nikon D90 with the Canon 40D ? It's around the same price range.
Why compare when the D90 clearly better?
Don't even need to think when these two battling each other!

IMO , you really got to compare and weigh up the specs . and not just that , also the amount of lenses and what not of each brand and how much do you really need/ like them.
