Canon Canonet Rangefinder QL-19

I have a Canon Canonet Rangefinder QL19 camera which has been in cold storage for some time. The viewfinder of the camera looks ''frosty". When i look into the view finder, i don't see a crystal clear image. I think the lens is ok by visual checks. Is there anyway i can rectify this? i called up canon and they said they don't deal with these old rangefinders anymore (disappointing).

Appreciate any advice on how i can resurrect this? Thanks!

try the usual shops. i dropped by a few and average quotes to resurrect a dead canonet is about $150-190 depending on the condition.

Try the usual repair shops like camera hospital, P&G, and the one in paya lebar.

try leaving it for a few days in a dry place first at room temperature (you can put it inside tupperware and put some silica gel inside, make it dryer than your dry cabinet, maybe around 20%), and see if the condensation inside the camera is gone.. after that, check the shutter speeds and aperture.. usually they will be ok.. IMO, it's just condensation because it has been cold stored for quite long.. just like film that has to be left in room temperature for an hour or so after cold storing it, so as to get rid of the condensation.. and try not to put battery inside first, cus it might cause short circuit if there is condensation inside..

if all else fail, then go to the shops recommended above..
