dude...probably Canon Singapore loaned him to test and review. Beginning of the clip he mentioned "PreProduction Unit from Canon", end of the clip he put credit to Canon Singapore for the loan.

=D

killer vid man. keep it up sean.

ENGR, still look nervous lah...but much better haha!

jokes aside, nice review!

I'll be picking one up once it's here. I'm tired of waiting for the 25P firmware for my 5DMK2. My only regret, I sold off my Canon EFS 17-55mm f2.8 when I went full frame. Otherwise it would have been a good combo with the new 7D. well....

BTW, Anyone wants to buy a zacuto z-finder? Can buy together and save some shipping.

Sonyboy, Canon passed me the only unit in Singapore =) it IS a pre prod unit. Anyway we have to hang on a while more b4 it reaches our shores but its coming soon. It is worth it for the price honestly.

Sibeiblur, I did the video hours just before I returned the cam. Got no tripod, no script, just wack!

Anyway the Z finder 2 rocks man. My friend is getting something from them. I'll see if he ordered already else can pool together to cut the shipping cost.

so you returned already i assume?
did they charge money? How did you manage to receive a set from canon?

Hey Engr, thanks for the review! Pity about that AGC on the audio man, but the wedding video shots you took look really nice. At the price, I think it is worth getting this cam just for the occasional shot where you need something different, and use a "real' videocam for the main bread and butter footage where you need more control and flexibility. It's great that Canon have sorted out the frame rates on the 7D, compared with the 30fps disaster that is the 5D2! :)

Glad to share my experience. I guess the aquisition of new equipment to shoot better quality stuff will raise the bar and pricing correspondingly in the local scene.
