May have heard wrongly, but I heard that the price of the Canon 70-200 IS USM F2.8L II has come down to about $2,500. The price guide on this board does not suggest it. Anyone knows it it has ever come to this and where?

The cheapest I have heard is S$2799 from Value basket. But I believe that is grey set.

On our price guide, CP had it last year at $2850.00 it is no longer at that price as that was a promo. I rented the lens from a rental and they said it had come down to $2,500. But I don't think it has. Maybe, for corporate buyers.

There's this shop at harbourfront ferry terminal, ground level. Last checked, 70-200 mk2 is gng at $2900. J316 is going at $2980.
