this is wierd.... coz the buy it now price is so low ?!?!?!?!

for 7000 ++ USD

can somebody verify this?!?!

It is no way for this lens selling on this low price. If you dealing with this seller under ebay monitoring is already too risky. From what I know, the seller stated "This listing is restricted to pre-approved bidders or buyers only", means that they want to sell you the lens directly without ebay monitoring. If I'm not wrong, they will request you to TT the money directly to the seller (either using Western Union money transfer service-no way to track your money). If you still think is worth to take the chance, please carry on and let me know the results. :nono:

1. the seller has no selling feedback, but buying positive feedback only.
2. the seller might not even approve you to bid/buy, but no harm trying
3. must make sure you use paypal to pay, no other method.
4. ebay protection policy? they only cover small $$$ of insurance only...

the transaction will still take place using ebay's rules, t&c, etc etc

if he wants to sell to friends, then why go ebay and let ebay earn the charges? doesn't sounds logic. He can just offer directly to friends...which I believe most will grab it immediately!

Yes, "pre-approved bidders" does not mean they want to deal without ebay, but I've experienced of those seller request you to be "approved" by them, after that they email you to urge you to make wireless TT to their western Union account without going though any paypal transection provided by ebay. Just like what Kho King said, ebay protection policy will only cover small amount of insurance only, perhaps US$200. May be you can try to be the pre-approved bidders and see what the seller will do next.

i asked him a qns on ebay
this was his reply.

"I have received your email regarding my Canon Lens.First you have to know bidding is restricted since I am carefull with my auction,so noone will press the button until I have the assurance that he will buy it. The lens is in perfect condition and never used before.The price for the package with shipping included, is 1700$.All the manuals and the original documents are in English.It is made for US market (was bought from Arizona ) and has US specs on it .The buyer will receive this along with all papers and recipts that he needs to register it in his name. The lens is in Europe,Greece and it will be shipped from here.Shipping will be done via FedEx and it will take no more then 6 days.I have a friend at fedex who will manage me a low price shipping and I assumed that it is from me to pay for shipping it.When I will shipp it,I will declare it as a gift so that you will pay no cusoms when you will receive it and for this it will be delivered directly to your address. The most important thing in all my activity here is that I am affiliated at eBay Square Trade , I have a purchase protection account for 7000$ and I assume you know what this means.
