canon 50d at us$497.....???

newbie here, am very interested in purchasing the eos 50d.....got a quote by some web-market place..... and the cost of the body is merely us$497 = $700 sing....but its made in taiwan.... is there a diference with taiwan made and japan made....shipment to singapore is free according to them...pack as gift......coment pls!!

If you seriously think someone will sell you a real legit 50D for SGD700, you need to get a reality check.

When something is too good to be true, it probably is.

haha...dat wats make me ponder too....i even emailed them asking about it been too skeptical fer me....but they said i was wrong..why dont u guys check it out too..hahaha.... see the amazing price lists....btw the 50d cums with 2 yr warranty with 1 yr international waranty.....

Sincerely, I would give it a miss.
It really smells too fishy to me. As I scroll down, there is a small pop-up window on the left side with some China advertisement. Nothing against this. But again, it simply re-enforces my feeling that we may be looking at fakes.
