huh? isn't pentax taken over by samsung? now merging with hoya to grow bigger? bizz world very cruel, size matters very much. 
anyway back to post #1, i feel the biggest diff between 400D & K10D is the SR. i tried the alpha the other day & at 300mm 1/30s, the pic looks sharp. i assume the pentax SR wud be very much on par with sony's. actually a very useful feature & cleverly implemented too. :thumbsup:
the other features r pretty good too from K10D & the PEF images looked very good. if i haven't started with any DSLR, K10D wud definitely be on top of my list.
jpg is already a compressed format, so quality is guaranteed compromised. what's the fuss? the only concern with shooting jpg is to nab the shot right, cos there's min headroom for u to make error. isn't a problem if u came from film but can pose a "hazard" if u dun have prior experience shooting with tight error tolerence.
anyday, i'll vote for PEF RAW rather than compressed DNG.
