Its mint, no dust. Worth buying?

In my opinion, I think it is worth buying.

How much was it before it was discontinued?

chyeo, it's only worth buying IF you have a use for it. i wouldn't buy it because
1) i'd rather a longer zoom lens
2) i shoot wide only once in a blue moon
3) no $$$ :D

good price, get it.... ;)

but shoot @ 20mm above... 17mm got distortion

sehsuan, I should be using it quite often if I buy it. This is due to the fact my widest lens is 28mm and my D30 got 1.6x multiplier... what do you all think?

me dunno abt canon lah.. u see and test lah.. anyway at 17mm sure will distort one.... with ur 1.6x.. also wun get 17mm also lah....
: )

In that case, isn't it better to get the 20mm instead of 17mm...?? Or is it because of this lens optical issue...??

Care to shed some light. Thanks.

Actually I feel that at 17mm the distortion is quite nice... if you take perpendicular to your object, the distortion is really very very minimal...

chyeo, i think our shooting styles are different, so i can't help you out for this one. at least the weatherproofing is usuable, i guess? :)

Hehe guess so... well, yes the weatherproofing does indeed come in handy... and the constant 2.8 helps too (although wide angle dun really need lah)... ;)

time to weatherproof the D30 instead... :D
