Can Sony A300 take IR photo with filter?

Hi all,

I really Love thos IR pictures posted by all.
I am still quite new to DSLR and only see that sony A100 is on the list of cameras, so I am quite dissapointed..

Can anyone tell me if sony A300 can take IR photo by just using a the R-72 filter only?
And how much and where can i get the filter?

I have previously used A350 with R72. Its possible just that it needs a really long shutter time and setting CWB will be a challenge too.
