can anyone tell me where to get lens?

last I went there to look for a tripod. The friendliest salesman was most willing to take out the tripod and show it to me how good it is. Rest of other shops, the salespeople most of the time show indifferent unless they know you.

You can try.:bsmilie:

I like TK more. all tripods all there. You just take it yourself and try. When you buy, they take out a new set from the store room.

Personally I think wait time is also a factor of customer service. And with the amount of time they make customers wait before getting served, I find their customer service very easily beatable. ;) And there are also reports that they employ the same overpricing tactics on filters similar to AP (you can do a search on CS to read more).

And i never had any problems dealing with TK. Most items are tagged clearly and one price. And the prices are good.

Cathay has such a huge variety. Best to ask for e-quote via their sales email. Good service actually.

MSC has never responded to my requests for e-quote over the years. Bought from them a couple of times, paid over market price for some items. But not obscenely over. But if you really want to buy from MSC, go to the branch near the S11 hawker centre, and talk to the lady boss Florence. Some of the other sales staff are not pleasant to deal with.

SLR-R prices are one of the lowest actually without the need for haggling.

AP is the one you should be careful when dealing.

Well... just my personal opinions and experience.

true true, ofcourse if they serve their customer like that it'll take some time for them to manage other customers queing, but u hve to admit very little shop to none in sg let u molest their lens and get away without giving u at least a frown :bsmilie:

SLR-R prices i found is pretty similar to TK photo which u'll mostly get a good price even without haggling, i agree with this

Joy's is the one and only shop in funan that i feel like entering a simlim camera shop in funan, though if u haggle they can quote u the lowest price u can get at funan.

i get to molest their sigma 70-200 f2.8 & canon 70-200 f2.8 about a month ago, so whoever bought it at that time from them also got my finger prints le :bsmilie:

oh, so you are a happy customer who likes their good value-added service, i.e. buy a lens, get 20 fingerprints free.

TK and CP. They have much wider selections. Basically, ok to fiddle with the tripod and self-service. Not too sure about lens though. Best way is still to read review and talk to people who has these lenses.

Like I said, many different kinds of people.

I prefer to get a new unopened copy in a box. I open it personally and do a quick once over check and pay.

If I want 20 fingerprints, or having 20 people yank it in different directions since it is a "sample test" lens, I will go BnS and buy it at a much lower price.

but BnS section doesn't come with 12 months + 3 months canon warranty what :bsmilie:, and i'm sure they wouldn't mind if u ask for other unopen set when u finnaly settled to buy from them(though i dun know how u confirm this with all the canon package being unsealed :D)

and yes i agree with u, that shopping there is for person's that not sure on getting the equipment they have in mind not for the one that already have the things in mind to buy. for fast service TKphoto, SLR-R & DDelectronics have the fastest service i've ever experience :D

If you know packaging well enough, you can tell if a package has been opened or not. I am very capable of sensing the difference. Seems like you are not. ;)
