I'm going for a short trip to taipei on the 5th Jan and will like to to know if there is any good place to shop for camera/lenses in the city (something like Singapore's Pensinsula Plaza).

What kind of camera? Dslrs buy in SG better. If you walk from Taipei Main Station to Hsimenting, you will prob see a street with a lot of signs that resemble negatives, that is the camera street. Will have a lot of AV equipment stores nearby too.
