My Canon HF100 has developed a fault where the zoom creeps on. From looking on the internet it appears that this is a well known fault. I have asked Canon here in Singapore for a quote to repair and they said the part is $180 and the labour is $80.
I have the part number and have found that the part can be purchased in the US for $25 US, a big saving.
So my questions are is there a camera repair shop here in Singapore that repairs video cameras?
Can they order the required part if i give them the part number?
What if i get the part from the US, can/will they install for me?
