Killer jay .... u no superfailure la.
FIrst you must try to make her understand the importance of trusting you to produce nice images.... but of course you cannot appeared to be humsup or itchy fingers if you want her to trust you....
Usually the moment the model accepted your idea of taking off the bra .... then the quality of your shoot will go down too  and equipments started to fail :bsmilie:

bro,

thanks for tat. :)

i normally dun go near the model during a shoot unless it messy hair or i want the hair to be at certain part. then i will try to arrange the hair for them. cos very difficult to tell the model tat 1/4 hair here, 1/2 there, then remaining 1/4 there.

as for taking off bra, i normally will meet the model 1st and discuss it on wat do i want and how we can make it better together. if the model dun feel comfortable, then i will find another theme and another location for them.

equipment failing? nah. i think i am half "gay" so i dun have tat problem. hahhaahah. sometime, i know more things about the type of make up and the type of cloths to wear compare to some ladies.

in fact some of my friends from other forums call me the name below.......

killer GAY

haha

:bsmilie::sweatsm:

you advertise here not scare yr pm flooded?

nah, dun worry about tat. i know how to handle tat. as long as next time if we got chance to shoot together, u dun siam me can liao.

btw, why i say i super failure above is bcos even after i had a meeting with the model before the shoot on the idea and the requirement and she still feel uncomfortable dunring the shoot, it is a failure liao.

I dissapprove of 2 things.....

Firstly, regardless how dissapointed you are in the shots..... never count it as a failure... it's having disregard for yourself... and NO regard for the model...The other thing is when working with a fresh model... and you find the rapport lacking... it's never a good idea to continue shooting.... what's more.... non-professionals are seldom used to the idea of posing in sexy attire (especially if working with a non commercial photographer...) either shoot her enough fully dressed until she feels comfortable to work with more intimate sides of herself.... or straight off produce results that she feels she's not being short-changed spending her time with you in whatever skimpy attire she's in...

On the model end, it's obvious she's pretty new to portrait posing ( or done lots of shoots without learning technical posturing...) expression, eye contact and lack of rapport with you shows... its a very harsh truth... to make the most of a model ... you've got to at least interest her in your images or personality... so the first time working with a model is probably the most vital .. for any doubts created during the first shoot, will definately not lead to a 2nd..

This is purely judgemental from my working experiences... just to share.. hardly a critic.. and lastly.... i dont think u should disregard your abilities.... if it didnt turn out well... like the rest say... there's always another day to make up for it..

Cheers bro!

ejunlow's above comments are about the most encouraging and constructive i've seen ever since i joined CS about a year back. jay, you can count yourself fortunate here. it's tough working with a freshie model, regardless of how tantalising she looks in her CS ad.

hey jay, definately not one of the best series, but then again, who can say that their series is the best? ;)

We all learn thru our mistakes and that's what makes us grow, dont give up ur passion for a moment's failure, perhaps, should interact more with the model, small talks or "kopi-session" to get to understand her personality, that's how i usually try out, i'm still working on my 1st portrait post so yep. Great effort never the less!

for me #8 is my fav  the tone and atmosphere is almost right, would be even better if you'd added some text to it to bring out the message u wanted ur model to bring across

just my 2 cents worth!

Send the model to Flip and I'm sure he will teach her how to pose right and ooze sexy.

bro,

thank you for the encouragement. :)

to be honest, the model is very comfortable with skimpy clothings. u should seen the 1st meeting cum trial shoot, her dress is much more hotter and revealing than this (sorry, dun think will be posting).

we were having dinner and walk about at esplanade and everyone, man and women, will surely turn their head 1. and the model dun really mind others oggling at her.

so, if the uncomfortable feel is there during the shoot, it must be me liao. but i din do anything or try to do anything tat is funny hor.

jay the still learning

add-on: for others who are reading this, when u know her normal dressing style, please dun get the idea tat the model is easy and try to bully her hor.

bro, dont take negative comments to be destructive but rather for your improvement so you know what to do & what to avoid next time.
