Hi guys,

After trying a bit of DIY BW developing, I'm interested to try E6 and C41. What I understand is that for slides and color negative, temperature control is essential. I'd like to ask for your suggestion on how to control temperature for development. I've heard of immersing the development tank in water and control the water temp with a water heater. Has anyone tried this?

All suggestions welcome.

Thanks

i tried E6 at home .. the tolerance of temp can be a few degree, especially for the later solutions.. the first developer is more important.. let me see if i can find the notes .. those info i get from SK..

both have to be order overseas. I tried the tetenal 3 bath e6 kit from ebay UK and the c41 kit from freestyle photo. You can also trying contacting losheng for fujihunt E6 chemicals or simply send yr slides to him for processing.

Thanks. My slides have been processed by LS so far. Just want to DIY for the fun of it since I've tried a bit of BW developing recently. Probably will still send him the important rolls and DIY some test rolls.

Only temperature control I did was to suspend glass bottles in a heated water container (from a kettle) till they reached the right temperature before pouring it into the tank.

Please run a master class! :)
