Buying equipment online.

Anyone know if I have to pay custom duties and other taxes if I buy equipment online (from a B&H/Adorama/Kirk etc. for accessories like filters/tripod head etc.)?

Amount >S$450.00 U have to pay 4% GST.

Is GST payable on goods bought from U.S. (sorry to re-ask, i really don't know the answer and just wanted to confirm)? Any custom duties applicable?

Had tired buying from US,HK,Tawan, if from DHL or others they will charge you the GST when they send you the goods.If from SingPost you have to go down to the Post Office pay the GST than you collect your goods.

They don't really tax all incoming mails/packages, from the 50 packages beyond 400SGD I receive, about 10 are taxed. Think they do it at random.
