Buying 39mm lens cap

I would like to ask where can I get a generic 39mm lens cap. Went to many camera stores, they dont stock such caps.

Well, besides chiif, my favorite 39mm caps and other 39mm stuff (step-ups, rear caps, filters) are from heavystar on eBay.

I like them because they don't stick out like the original Leica 39mm caps which I don't like. These snap-ons have a low profile and look like filters instead - e.g. like you can slide out the built-in hood on a 50mm Summicron without the cap blocking it. Be sure to buy spares.

Yes, bought loads of lens hood, caps, LTM rear lens cap from them. They are good.

Bro, this is how the voigtlander front cap looks like. It doesn't stick out from the lens.

Thanks to all for the valuable info, might be getting from ebay. Since they have hood as well.

By the way, side track a bit, what is the difference between a normal hood and a vented hood? I see the holes, I dont think a lens need to "breathe" right? :dunno:

My understanding is some hoods are too big so can block your Viewfinder. The vented hood is to allow you to see the image through the vents.
