It has been a trend in the used market to try to bring extra value to the used item by mentioning UNFILLED WARRANTY.

Please take note that Warranty Card must be accompanied with receipt / invoice when you want to make warranty claim.
While it is possible that you might still be able to claim warranty without a receipt, but that does not guarantee you to get warranty coverage. Nikon, Canon, Sony, Olympus...etc. all have the serial number and date of deliver to dealer in their system. They can trace back the history of their items: When is it sold, to which dealer, age...etc. So, don't cheat and don't try to outsmart them.

Unfilled warranty card must accompanied with official receipt, or you are not guarantee with warranty coverage.

What if I buy a camera that has been given to the seller in a lucky draw or credit card redemption? Confirm no reciept so the warranty is voided too?

The award of the camera will come with some sort of paperwork to show when you got the camera. That will be your proof of "purchase" or rather, proof of ownership. Competitions are also verifiable as they are public knowledge. Organizers will also issue receipts or documents.

For Nikon, if the reciept is not present, the warrantly will be calculated from the date the stock arrived at Nikon warehouse Singapore.

i think is calculated from the date that the stock arrived at the dealer (CP / AP etc . . )

peng eik already said that here.

no idea on other brands, but canon is more flexible in warranty.

For Sony, if warrently is register online then nothing is needed when sending in :)
However when only basing on a filled warrently card for example like International warrently, recepit would be needed if not it's would be base on last-in warrently but might still be subjected to charges.

I would strongly suggest to put this info in the Buy/Sell section. I saw that whenever seller stated "unfulfilled warranty card" there are usually more interested buyers bidding, unaware that it would not help.
