My only reservation is, will I need to get much closer to land a shot? With the 75-300mm + extension tube, I typically shoot at around 1m range.
Ssshhh, Bob. Don't elevate me to a "pro". I'm just an amateur who happens to concentrate on a single subject type which is not too common. I started off as a butterfly researcher as a hobby, and photography is just a means of recording what I see. :embrass:
My only advantage is that I know the habitats and behaviour of butterflies better, so I have a slight edge when it comes to shooting them.
