Budget Underwater Camera

Dear All,

I was looking to buy an underwater camera. Did a lot of net search and found out Intova cameras. They have a digital waterproof camera (which is ~5-10 m waterproof) and housing (which is ~45 m waterproof).

Their 6mp model IC600 was interesting costing only US$ 100 for a 150 ft camera + housing.

Please let me know where can I find good budget underwater cameras in Singapore (Intova retailers will be great). Alternatively any other camera that you may recommend. My requirements are -

1) Budget : S$ 250
2) Require Digital Camera + Housing
3) 5 MP or above
4) A small zoom will be useful (Intova had a 3x zoom)

For $250SGD..... Very Hard :sweat:

That amount can't even buy Canon's OEM Casing..... much less a Camera + Casing.

Yes.... I can see.

But like I said.... at $250 you can't even get an U/W casing in S'pore.

Looks like your only choice is to get from B&H..... Good luck :thumbsup:

Spending $250 SGD for Underwater photography seems a bit unrealistic... but as other's have said, good luck!

$250 for camera and housing... good luck to you... my housing for my simple canon is already more than $250

from what i've seen, the oly underwater compacts have very bad high iso performance.

the canon (d10 i think) is one of few underwater cams with better IQ

D10 sharpness seem only great in the center.. while the Panasonic TS1 is equally almost as good.. both hv blur corners

up till now i see (from the shots from dpreview and image resources) that the best underwater PnS is Pentax W60 (for sharpness overall, even at corner) and the price is lowest of all... someone posted bD can sell for $299 .. thats $250 cheaper then Canon and Panasonic..
