This is another 3D animation made by my wife Beth, based on a song I wrote. The subject is a bit heavy, (genetic engineering), but the music is quite accessible and I think the film is interesting to watch.

what kind of software package did she use to make it?

I think the 3D models could be improved by using other software.

She used Poser and Carrara. Yes, everything can be improved, but you have to work with what you have.
