Black cloth.

I went to HK recently and got a expensive room. Why!? It's because when I book it, it does have a full view of the harbour, just nice for time lapse. So, I went to get a piece of black cloth, 6m X 1m. When I got the room, it's a corner unit and I could see part of the city view too! I setup my camera with the black cloth clipping on the white curtain. I did missed out some parts at the corners but 90%, I hardly see reflection after that. Ended up with some nice time lapse from the room. So, bring a piece of black cloth in your future trip, you never know when you need it. A 3m X 2m would be a better choice. ;)

Would a lenskirt have worked for your scenario? Can also try to diy something like it. More compact for travel?

Ever think of that but not sure where to get and ended up with a black cloth. Will get one if cloth got torn one day. :D

But thinks again, if my camera aims at an angle, I still sees the curtain or room reflection. So, a black cloth more ideal or combine both?

Maybe can buy black cloth and DIY lens skirt?

Thought of that but quite hard to make one. Maybe can make by using a better graded cardboard which can fold up and bring to oversea easily. Just use the black cloth for wrapping around the cardboard.

I going to order 2x lenskirt as I goon to Dubai n will be doing time lapse inside the room. I even booked 2 kinds of view (sea n city) for my 10 days over there. I still bring the black cloth as a backup. I might use the lenskirt if needed inside the car.

the 'original'? or managed to find from China direct? =) i also looking to buy 1, tried diy, gave up -- sewing is really hard hahaha

Original. China one wait got holes!

I didn't get the lenskirt in the end as my hotel at Dubai got Balcony. I brought black pieces of vancard (don't know how to spell, haha!) over to Burf Khalifa. With help from my relative, I manage to have the whole view myself inside his office during their Saturday. I use the black pieces and cover up the side, ended up the lens reflections during some of the photos. I also never expected that there are lights coming from outside the building and my whole exposure gone for one setup. Ended up, I move the setup to a corner but the view are not that nice. So, even with lenskirt, I doubt can have better exposure if got other source of lights. Anyway, glass reflection really hard to get rid off even in LR(I no try PS), all the best. :D

if u are not using too wide a lens, there is a type of rubberised screw on filter that can be used for glass < i use this when shooting behind glass sometimes
