Like your first pic of John very much, infact I think that is the best of this lot. The half lit face which draws the lights reflected off his jersey, arm and leg is really interesting

eh.. actually, i've seen some of sehsuan's work on this site, and i have to say they're already very good.
thank you, betterfeel. the original shot was grossly greyish and underexposed... thankfully for PS, it still could be saved :embrass:

Zuess bro, thanks a lot too! decided to try some "funny" ideas instead of covering an event and killing myself in the process of severe overshooting. less than 150 shots for y'day, but haven't looked through all of them yet
obviousdude, the lens was a 70-200 f/2.8L IS @ 70mm, ISO200, f/4, 1/500s. i was travelling with a friend of mine, so she was my lighting "model" to let me gauge the exposure and Zuess is the Canon Pro who was speaking at the local 1D MkII launch :thumbsup: and no, i'm not "very good" la. i'm just taking my own sweet time to try some funny ideas, and just shoot experimentally, since i was really dead tired when i tried to shoot almost everyone last year. this year must be smarter a bit ma.
