beware of sellers out there who lie to sell fake crumpler!

to all out there, beware of sellers who lie about their products esp those of crumplers. when sellers say that got crumplers in bulk, its probably from vietnam as it looks real, its cheap, and its fake.

i wanted to buy a jimmy bo 400 from the uk crumpler website but found the delivery price way too high. saw someone selling jimmy bo 400 bags on clubsnap website so i enquired. he gave me the link of the uk crumpler website to view the bag. thats the first lie, showing me a picture thats not the product itself, so i didnt ask him if his jimmy bo 400 was from the uk crumpler shop. previous weekend when i met him at the mrt to deal, he immediately told me that the crumpler was bought in bulk thus no packaging and tag. and thats the 2nd lie, crumpler bags bought from vietnam dun come in any packaging close to those of a real crumpler. as i was in a rush, i didnt check the bag totally and deal with him. and i agreed to the price that he offered, didnt bargain as i always respected the seller's price. 75bucks for a fake crumpler which cost about 20 bucks in vietnam. i know the prices as i met a fren that just came back from vietnam with a fake crumpler for her own usage.

i just have to suck thumb and learn from this lesson not to trust sellers for every word they say. wouldnt have mind paying more to the seller if it was a real crumpler and it was what i wanted. some pple just have the heart to sell their fake stuff at such a high price.

i recently knew about it too because my friend came back from vietnam and bought a made-in-vietnam crumpler bag himself (don't worry his username is not mycrumplersale) :bsmilie:

For crumpler in vietnam, quality is good but still far from original. I'm a long time crumpler user and has a europe crumpler. For my trip to vietnam 2 months back, I compare theirs with mine, easily see and feel the difference.

Please note that crumpler really have a huge factory in Vietnam. So if it says "made in Vietnam, it does not automatically mean that it is a fake.

Crumpler is either made in China or in Vietnam. Only a few made in Australia, Melbourne. Those made in Melbourne are usually the limited editions or the custom made ones.

Buying a fake at a high price and thought it was original. Seller tries to cheat. It's not about the logo.

Alamak...just go to pasar malam and you can buy the original fakes at super low prices. In fact they are selling $12 each and got logo some more. Kerna chop to buy fakes at high price. For me I use branded original NTUC recycle bags to bring my DSLR and lenses. :bsmilie:

i also bought from vietnam. if we meet one day, i bring my 2 made in viet crumplers and show to you.....
