So, lessons learned:

1. Ask around, check prices before buying.

2. Check the condition of the goods before handing over the cash.

3. Test the goods, to make sure it's in working order.

I'll call a cheat a cheat, regardless of how stiff competition is and how difficult it is to earn a profit. If u deliberately mispresent 2nd hand goods and brand new and sell them atbrand nwe prices, then there is deliberate intent to mislead and profit thereby and this is cheating. So I would not excuse this kind of behaviour. And of course I would be very wary of going back for anything. If anything I would go back to sound off my other requests for prices to check that I have not been cheated.

I'd recommend The Camera Workshop instead! :)

Alex Photo looks a little empty.... I walked by the other time :P

Anyway, got a Sigma 70-210 from TCW the other day, works great too and looks great :D

Getting more stuff from them soon :D

(Note: I do not work for any of the shops. I am only the innocent hapless consumer :P )

I would highly reccommend TCW also. They have very good servic and as far as I can gauge having bought all of one lens from them and inquiring about 2 new others (which they didn't have unfortunately.), they seem quite honest and very willing to help and chat.

Actually looking to buyu a wide zoom from them but nothing suitable has turned up so far. Also very very broke!! :D
