guess 1980 is considered a very good price, since RRP was like $23xx iirc... you can simple get a 2x 2gb CF high spd card at <$200 anyway.

I dont like SD, despite what people think they are at this present time still slower compared to CF, plus I have spent an arm and a leg on CF cards, I dont want to go out and buy more memory before I can use the D80. Also, D80's build is inferior to the D200 which feels amazing compared to the D80's high impact plastic!

i feel completely difference... so far i only got SD card no CF (for my fz5 and d50) :bsmilie:
i don blame d80 build being inferior to d200 since their price tag are about 1k difference (body only). with that amt of $ i rather spent it on a glass such as 18-200VR. ;p

The fact is its still inferior. I only responded because someone said they were close!

And if I were in your position (full of SD cards) I would probably have one by now.

Anyway, IMHO maybe u shld really try testing it out by writing a file to both medium (SD and CF) and see if you can feel the difference. The "slowness" is only significant on paper specifications. I guess u can only see the difference when u r continously writing a few big sizes files at a go
