Best low light set up

Ok, first thanks, I checked my a33 I can manage and set up the flash (slowsync) on A, M, P, mode I haven't tried the S mode. That info really helps a lot.

2nd, what is IIRC? Is it the same as HDR or ADR? Is it possible to do it with A33? Thanks.
iirc means if i remember correctly :o

Maybe i rephrase. it isnt so much of a true/untrue P mode. Just tat was using panasonic back then with the Program Shift capability to change aperture value and shutter speed without changing the exposure. this is more like moving along the P mode graph. hence it's a P mode tat gives slightly more option. believe nikon has similar flexible program mode.

Your A33 also can do this. Use the AEL button in M mode. Refer to manual pg 78.

I wasn't talking about whether he 'NEEDED' slow sync anot, I was replying to his question on whether he 'COULD' use slow sync in those modes.

Those who have played with other brands of cameras would have noticed that different brands have their P modes function differently from Sony's.

For me, the Sony A55 has got 3 almost similar modes: Auto mode, i-Auto mode and Program mode.

oops.sorry. i fail at speed reading.

yup. but i've used M too much till i forgot what p-mode does on a compact (other brands of course)
