White one- bukit timah hawker centre not bad.. the one at bedok 85 is quite nice too! sorry ah, dun have the name of the stalls. For bukit timah, there are a few carrot cake stalls.. the one at the corner with this big wide glass is the stall im talking about. Bukit Timah doesn't sell nice black carrot cakes though. As for bedok 85, its the popular stall that sells fried hokkien mee and or jian

Black one- there's a very popular stall at clementi hawker centre! (clementi central) long queue! this old man who has been frying black carrot cake for very long.. abit too garlic-y though..

There is one very traditional, somewhere near the Queensway Shopping Centre.

chompchomp 1, right inside also very good. ask the lady, lesser egg, fry crispy, EXTRA CHILLI! i think its better then the outside one. i've lived at serangoon gardens since 1995.

grew up eating the outside one, but slowly standard dropped. maybe have to try again soon.. haha.

tampines ave 4!!! got this coffeeshop that sells really good ones... its light... and you can't feel the cloying grease... its got abit of chilli in it but its tolerable.. and trust me on that since i can't take chilli well...

THE UNCLE IS GENEROUS WITH THE EGG.....
he doesn't measure out how much egg he adds...
he just slops it all over the chye tau kway... and its not once... not twice... but three times!!
me and my cycling buddy have been stopping over there almost everyweekend to eat the carrot cake on our way back to pasir ris....

There was one at Longhouse hawker centre at Upp Thomson. But one day suddenly closed down. Also dunno where they went. :cry:

huh? I only know it's the shop right at the corner with huge glass panel...you can see the chef frying...the white one is super crispy...but also super unhealthy :lovegrin:

Be aware that there is seasons for his carrot cake. Sometimes it's chwee kueh.

Best carrot cake I've tasted, bar none.
