Best deal for Nikkor 12-24mm

Hope to get advice from all the old timers here.
Which is the best deal for a Nikkor 12-24mm here?

Noticed the cheapest at shops is about $1,600 with warranty.

Oracle who is known for his mass orders is selling it at $1,480 with warranty.

but i realised there have been other sales of late with a really good price of $1,450 by some CS'ers.

ExplorerZ has already give u the answer. if u are worried, pay more and get from an authorised Nikon dealer for the peace of mind.

buying from shops is about $200 more. Moreover these people offer international warranty.

since you know its $200 more, you can get from the people selling at $1400... for the $30 difference, im quite sure you should have no problem paying. (depending on who you buy from) $30 difference is still considerable reasonable for a product that cost 50x $30. if you still worry, my recommandation will be either don buy or get from authorised nikon dealer

All nikkor lenses are international warranty.

of cos $30 is still $, but its not that much worth considering for such expensive product. if you are looking to save $, you know the ans to ur thread (get from the 1 selling the cheapest).
what im trying to say is if you worry about getting items from those people selling at $14xx, just go and buy a $16xx set from authorised dealer

Hi, Oracle's price is $1460 (read his post #2). Not much difference from the rest. Personally, I'm sticking with him cos I've bought from him before and I know he can be trusted.

The other MO organiser I trust in CS is sykestang, again, because I bought from him before. But, he is not currently organising an MO for the 12-24.

So u won't know until u buy from the person the first time, right? Do u really trust what we say? Just wondering

I did a sales on the 12-24 lens for 2days and kenna complained by other 'red-eye' MOers which the admin advise me to close my threads. Actually I did not want to post the free NC filter thingy but mentioned it as '+ Free Extra' as I would prefer a more fairer deal for other MOers whose stock only coming in on Tuesday. But sadly... sigh...

Actually I thought of not doing this lens already until I saw this thread now which fellow Nikonians are interested in getting this lens. So I might as well offer this again.

For me I personally checked thru and collect the lens. Not to mention that a printed receipt is always given. BTW I got news from Nikon HK side that all the Authorised Nikon Resellers has already been computerised on May 2006, as such if not wrong, only printed receipts from Authorised Nikon Resellers in that country where the product is purchased from will be recognise to claim Warranty. So this is just to keep you guys updated on this news where I was just told.

BTW please refrain calling me as I am in HK now collecting my stocks and also these lenses if you all are interested.
