In order to put an Asian face to dementia, Jeremy Boo and Lee Xian Jie have also been filming a year in the life of two families and their journey with dementia. The observational documentary is probably the first featuring Asians with dementia. It will be released online in late 2012.
Synopsis: Even as Joyce Fernandez devotes her life to care for her mother, Celine, who suffers from dementia, she must fight her fears with hope when her mothers health worsens rapidly. Meanwhile, two sisters, both medical doctors, grapple with their mothers dementia and depression.
There will be a matinée preview screening at The Arts House At The Old Parliament Screening Room on 10 September 2011 from 3pm 4:30pm. No admission charge; limited seats for registered guests only.
Register here by 3 September 2011. You will receive an email confirmation of your attendance on 4 September.
