Hi all, sharing some pictures from my recent trip to Bali. Still as fun as ever!

I did 2 dives at Seraya, 1 at Tulamben, and 3 at Nusa Penida. We were supposed to dive a 3rd day but decided to have a spa+makan day instead. hehe

the pygmy shot was uncropped... that's how powerful the subsee is

+10 or +5... on what mm lens ?? 60mm or 100mm... siaokao still have my SubSee +10... and I've yet the time to test it on my 100mm :sweat:

No doubt the +10 magnification is tokong. But the limited working distance make lighting difficult. Also DOF is very shallow.

koh, you're right on both counts. getting so close means lighting is a problem. you should have seen how i was trying to squeeze the port and 2 strobes into the small openings just to get it properly lit. had to give up quite a few shots because of the space constraints.

as for DOF, my default is f20 and i adjust from there. and don't even get me started about the AF.. luckily i had the EF-S screen so it helps when i do manual focus.

haha don't make it anymore complex than it already is! it's already more trouble than it's worth..

i was there at Tulamben too over the national day weekend. My most unproductive trip ever. 4 dives over 3 days + 3 dives in Nusa Peninda. Braved 17 degrees water and still saw nothing.....Did you kenna the surge at Tulamben on the 7th? Vis at only 3-5 m till you went deeper than 15m.

i dived seraya and tulamben on the 6th.. honestly not a big fan of tulamben. i really prefer diving seraya instead. on the 7th i was at nusa penida.. crazy currents man. probably the same surge that you experienced. 8th was a spa day. haha

Supposed to dive Seraya on the 7th afternoon or 8th. DM told me not manny critters to find and the poor vis would stay

yah he was right. didn't find anything awesome and vis was quite poor.
