Hi all
I am thinking of getting a backpack for my cam and equipments coz i realise that the case is so heavy and tedious to bring around. Can anyone let mi noe what r the diff models of backpack (any brand be it lowepro or wat) that i can get and its rough pricing.

I am using the sony 717 and metz external flash with quite a no. of filters (not many but not few too). I have a tripod too but i have a carrier for that.

Many thanks in advance.

Rover Light (cheaper) or Rover AW (rare).

I used a mini trekker before and i dun think such storage and opt for the rover light instead. Ii did not regret my decision since then. it's good for trekking and as a daypack.

rover aw is more versatile and can be used as a shoulder bag too. but it's hard to find. saw one at cp peninsula few weeks ago. grab it before it's gone.

How much is it roughly?? have some tight budgeting to make...anyone heading down to CP tml??

I got my Rover Light for $137 if i'm not wrong. The rover AW should cost a little more. Go down and check it out.

Another Qn to seek for advise...

Do u all think those shoulder sling bag is better or backpack is better? Do u all carry ya tripod in its individual bag or fixed it together with the backpack?

I'm using a Lowepro Micro 200 for my 717.
It fits in a WA, a TC, a flash, some filters, the cam, and my v3 with kenko monoscope nicely.
Got it for S$95 from CP.
If your tripod is short enough (folded), you can tie it to the bottom of the haversack too.
Only bad thing about this bag is that I feel it looks ugly.
As such, I may sell mine...
Just bought a few days ago...

Carry it individually..

Backpack is good for long distance walking as it is less stressful on the shoulder..

Shoulder bag provide faster retrieval.
Most back pack require u to unload the bag from shoulder to take out item.

Orion Trekker is an alternative backpack-style bag. It's smaller than the Rover Light.

sling bag is good for event and backpack is great for trekking and walking around. as whether to carry the tripod in the tripod holder with the bag or individually, it really depends. if i'm going to walk a great distance without using the tripod, i might as well pack it with my bag. the bad thing here is that it's very difficult to get thing out from the rover light if u attached the tripod to the dedicated holder.
