Hi Guys,

If one of my lens is backfocus, do I send in all my lens including 3rd party for calibration? Normally how long will it take?
Thanks..
:)

Normally they want only the body.

Thanks TW, what if only my particular lens has prob where the rest is ok? When normally isit the lens prob or the camera? Thanks for the reply.. ;)

what they do at this case is they will set the lens up to its original setting...

They will think the lens drop and misalign... that's what I was told.

Err.. sorry what original lens setting you mean? Don't get you?

I have the same problem...

I am using 85mm f1.4 G and if the subject is close to me, say within 1m, the image will be sharp when AF is used. If the subject is further away from me, say 5m, the subject will be out of focus if AF is used. However, it wasn't the case if I manual focus on the subject.

I had the camera in to service center today and they told me that the CCD is the culprit.. I am not 100% sure.

However, if only one of your lens has the problem, the chances are that the lens' misalign inside... you probably can't see it... but they had to re-align to its "original" factory setting.. it is not user servicable... basically it involves removing all lens part and fit it back correctly.

I think I should sent my 50mm f/1.4 to KMSC also  , that's the only lens which tend to focus on the back of subject.

But if you focus on a subject on spot focus, but the background has more contrast than the subject, end up the focus is on the background, does this consider back focus? My 50mm tend to have this problem. Or is there any other way to solve it?

Thanks guys! I will do more tests and find out more before going to KM centre...
