Has anyone used this filter before? How much did you pay for it? Is the filter worth what you are paying for?

Costs about $95 now, iirc. I recently bought one for one of my lenses. B+W filters are the ones to go for if you want to protect your lens yet get the max image quality from it, and if you have the moolah of coz. Why pay so much for a lens to put an inferior filter in front of it?

Is it worth it? IMHO, yes, a little pricy but this filter does a great job. Quite easy to clean also.

I totally agree with you that its no point get a good L lens if we don't match it with a good filter. Where did you get the filter for S$95? thought it was S$100+

can look into heliopan or hoya s-hmc filters

If you bargain right you can get it for $95 @ CP. Both my cousin and I managed to get that price on 2 seperate occasions.

CP seems to price their stuff higher than the rest. Anyone you recommend? I will also be getting a camera and a L lens

I bought mine from CP Peninsula Plaza.

B+W filter  Easy to clean and it's made of glass, worth the investment!

:embrass: sorry, can you show me the image quality difference between a $95 filter and a $30 Hoya HMC one?

Someone did a comparision not too long ago. However it was regards to how flare was handled. If I can remember the L37C came out tops, B+W MRC was 2nd in terms of flare control. Do a search.

IMO, no difference. I also think most lens can handle flare fairly well without the filter..

CP selling the 77m B+W MRC UV Haze for around $90 to $95.
Buy & sell also got but $100plus..
