Not everything is cheaper than Singapore... glad you got a bargain though... :)

IMO, most Canon things are cheaper outside of Singapore....

hey guys,

ive just visited the website, some products are labelled imported whereas some are labelled USA. wats the difference? I noticed that imported lenses are cheaper but then do they also come with the international warranty? If so, then why do they label their products twice? Anyone would probably choose the cheaper item right? :dunno:

anyone with idea of the warranty? for "USA" vs "imported" sets etc.

if im not wrong imported is Grey sets and USA is USA warrantied.

Therefore, for Canon products if you are buying to use here, there is no difference! Because either way Canon SG will consider it as a grey set.

 so..... back to square one haha

How are the B&H prices for filters like Hoya and b&w compared to the local shops? Am looking to get a polariser but not sure if I should just get it locally??

How much does the market value warranty of lens?

So the lens one buy from BH Photo are not warrantied in Singapore???

If so, that is not an apple to apple comparison and the purchase wouldnt be deemed as cheaper then??

?? Is that true for canon?

I am sure 100% that olympus, nikon all have local warranty if you buy the USA warrantied set. The imported sets are the ones which are grey sets with no local warranty.

my friend buy a M7D body in BH when they give promotion and rebate, about only half price of local set, and never had quality problem.

if can keep MO some 70-200IS or 24-70L from US, can really make big profit soon for someone.

Grey items in B&H means that warranty will only be covered by B&H (and maybe limited). US warranty is covered by Canon USA. Also not entitled to any rebates.

For lens, US Warranty implies international warranty (you can call canon singapore to verify) for LENS only. This does not apply to bodies, so grey or US warranty is a moot point
