I had my 7D set up in shutter priority mode and set it on rapid fire. I was getting 1/500 to 1/750 sec shutter speeds with the available light. The problem was as soon as the alarms went off I started holding down the shutter release and as soon as the first explosives went off my camera stopped shooting and just sat there. So I had to push the shutter button at least 3 or 4 time in order to get a descent shot. Has this ever happened to anyone else. I'm thinking maybe the explosives produced an EMP but I thought that only happened with nuclear devices.

Did your camera auto-power-off?

emp from a C4 charge is totally impossible. it does not produce that much photons to knock out your camera circuitry.

I think, more likely, your camera filled its buffer just at the wrong moment. Murphy's Law. =)

err keyword... only took 1 shot...

i believe... the TS set to single shot drive, not multiple shots drive... please check and confirm...
