Aurora umbrellas are made with a specially treated material
that enables a soft and diffuse light.
They are manufactured with high quality frames and fabric for long term
durability and are designed for professional use.
They are available in three types White, Silver and Translucent.
The white umbrellas are designed for achieving a neutral light source and are hence recommended for use with digital photography.
The silver umbrellas are for a slightly colder, punchier and more dramatic light with crisp highlights and clean shadows.
The translucent or commonly known as “shoot through” umbrellas,
are for achieving a soft and diffused light and are perfect for use on
a fill light for portraits.
The 8mm shaft is compatible with all Aurora compact and continuous
lights as well as lights from other manufacturers.
Photographers can change the light distribution by moving the
umbrella closer or further away (down the shaft) from the light source.
Due to the large diameter of 155cm and its shape,
it creates a beautiful wrap around light that is perfect for single light portraits and can also produce extremely even lighting when photographing groups of people.
An optional diffuser cover turns the 155cm umbrellas into affordable,
portable, and shallow Octa softboxes. It is very easy to assemble,
just place the light in the centre of the diffuser cover
(after it is attached to the outer edges of the umbrella) and
pull the drawstring tight to minimize light leakage.
