Are there fake leica lens out there?

Been doing some research on Leica summitar 50mm f2 and came across in another forum about fake leica lens. Is it possible? How to tell the difference, anyone know?

Also, whats the market price of a summitar 5cm f2? Don't want to over bid in auctions.

For lens not sure but fake russian camera with retractable lens, yes

I believe the Leitz Elmar 5cm f/3.5 will be the most commonly faked Leica lens.
