U can certainly get cheaper price if u stay away from Sony Gallery.
And most stores will lower the price further u if u choose to pay cash instead of credit card.
ok thanks. I was considering if it would be worth it to pay for the Alpha 100 via interest free installments in the big name shops or to buy with cash.

camera is not like big items like house or car, and camera is also not a necessitiy, so dont fall into the trap of debt and realised that you are short of cash during rainy days.
having been a salesman b4 selling laptops during IT shows..
if they offer you a interest free scheme... most likely you are able to ask for a 4% or more reduction from the price if you pay cash... cause these interest free bullshit is mainly they jack up the price to cover the interest free cost.. cuz the banks do still charge them.. credit card is usually 2%. nets is same as cash.. even from harvey norman and other big superstores you can ask for the rebate.
nets is not the same as cash.
Retailers will be charged for nets transaction.
If u can't the price too low, the merchant will want u to pay them in cash instead of nets.
I got a the lowest price of the Sony R1 from South Asia Computer (after checking many stores in SLS, and some bigger retailers like Parisilk. Those bigger ones like CP has not more stock) and I've to pay them cash instead of nets.
yea... but most retailers will just absorb the nets amt cuz it's really little.. like 0.**% only.. and they sure still have margin for themselves one.. $1 wun kill.. unless some really stingy then that cant help lor
Charge to merchants by the various credit facilities: NETS charges 1%, VISA/Masters, 3% and AMEX, 5%. 3% of $1000 is $30... that's why most of the smaller shops will increase their prices if u use credit cards...
