Nope unfortunaly theres no female. The female normally kill the male after they mate. Talk bout the weaker sex huh...

I should be taking more pictures if I can find the time. Time time I'll try to get a closer shot....

But what you're saying did happen to an extent. My friend who bought the spider at around the same time did loose his spider for about a month, until he found it crawling around his floor one day
