We don't use Liquid, but we do have experience with using our latest Avid Media Composer 4 when we deal with our client's 5DMkII / 7D footage.
We transcode everything to AvidDNX resolution at native framerate, then master to HDCAM or DVCProHD for broadcast delivery.

Normally for local transmission delivery, we will use a broadcast grade standards converter for conversion to 25fps.

Thanks for sharing...

I've tried this "free" solution n it seems to work...

download RAD Video Tools, convert MOV to AVI (uncompressed), import into avid liquid to edit. be sure to use the same resolution ie 640x480 frame rate 29.7.

BUT, the catch is max output avi file size cannot b larger then 2GB!! Bummer!

trying out avs video converter 6.3 now...will post results when its available...

forgot to mention offer is till 31 oct09...

try Quicktime Pro...does a very good job.
